Never Mind I researched for myself.
This is for those of you who didn't know either.

The main source of revenue for Police and Fire is the 1 percent
general sales tax the City collects, which is the basis of our General
Fund. The Police also receive some funding from the countywide 1/4-cent
sales tax for law enforcement and that funding pays for a specific number
of officers that were added as a result of that initiative. The Police
and Fire Departments also receive funding from the City's Level
Property Tax for infrastructure needs. For instance, the LPT funding source is
used to build new fire stations and the combined Fire Station 6/Police
South District Station.
Aside from that, they also receive some grant funding for areas like
Homeland Security or specialized equipment needs.

In the 2007-08 budget, the Police Department budget is $31,423,336 and
the Fire Department budget is $15,488,323.
