On the 20th of March Obama gave a speech in Charlston about the Iraq War. I don't mean to split hairs but seing a young U.S. Marine in uniform there really irks me. I have been in the Army, and the Army national Guard for around 20 years now and one thing I was always told was to never get involved in politics or political interviews while in uniform. I dont know maybe the Marine Corps has different regulations than the Army does.

I wish I could figure out how to post a picture but here are the links:

If anything the USMC has tighter rules/regs than other branches. However the regulation about not being allowed to appear in uniform at political events applies to all branches (to include reserves/guard), with the exception of a commander giving permission for them to wear it there.

i do not see any patches or anything really tying him to a branch of the military. could it be a ploy and its just a guy in camo who really is not in a branch? sorry i try not to make assumptions.

The grass is always greener on the other side due to all the bodies fertilizing the ground!!!!
