I don't have all of the paticulars on the story, but understand a mother was locked up for her childs school attendance. Or lack there of. While a parent does owe it to their child to get them the best education they can, do we really want to start down the path were we are legally bound to turn our kids over to the State for their mandated education with threat of jail? Be it right, wrong, or "in the childs best interests" its straight from Marx's doctrine. Control the minds of the childeren and you will control the country in one generation. And now the police will see to it that each and every child will get their daily allowance of "Global Warming, Evolution, misquoting the Constituion, wealth envy" schooling that our tax dollars paid for. First the dead beat parents will be corrected, then the home schoolers, then the parents that dare tell their kids that Global Warming is a hoax. When does it end? What does it teach the kids about personal responsability to get educated? Just sit back and the Goverment will make it work for you.
