Honor our Soldiers on Memorial Day

Join American Veterans Post 188 for a Memorial Day Program at the National Cemetery in Springfield (1702 E. Seminole) on Monday, May 27th.

Music will begin at 10am and will be provided by the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine band.  The ceremony will begin at 11am and last for about an hour.

Ceremony includes:

Posting of the colors by Marine Corps League Dept #993 Color Guard, the Pledge of Allegiance by a WWII and Korean War Veteran, the National Anthem by the Springfield Metro Chorus "Jazz!", Speaker Col. Gary D. Gilmore (Missouri Army National Guard state Chaplain), the placing of The Wreath by the Gold Star Sisters, a rifle salute by the Veterans Memorial Team, and Taps by Brandon Graff.
