I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your help, Shoeboxes For Soldiers sent out around 90 boxes to our guys and gals serving overseas. Things started out a little slower than normal with the effort, which is why we asked for your help. Despite only being involved a few days, you stepped up and helped save the effort.
Kortni and I helped pack up and send off the boxes this morning(6/18). View pictures. It was really neat to see some of the things you donated. I really could imagine how much it means when our troops get these boxes. Just knowing that someone here at home took the time to think of them and pick out a box full of items makes a huge difference.
This autumn, we will be helping out with another round. The plan will be to get the boxes out in time for Christmas. We will certainly have a greater amount of time to promote it than just a few days.
