A man faces a long list of charges for stealing a Newton County Sheriff Deputy's patrol car while he was handcuffed.
The sheriff says Jason Michael Hurst, 33, assaulted deputies who were serving an eviction notice.
While deputies were dealing with family members, Hurst managed to climb into the front seat of the car and take off.
Authorities rammed the patrol car and it rolled over on Neosho Boulevard.
The sheriff says Hurst was still fighting deputies when he was taken to the hospital.
Hurst has been charged with first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and faces several more felonies.
