Tornadoes Touch Down In Ozarks

Five confirmed tornadoes touched down in the Ozarks early Friday morning. 

Experts say evidence of a sixth tornado has been found in Chadwick. An EF-0 touched down, uprooting trees. Two homes were damaged by trees.

The EF-0 had winds around 85 miles an hour.

It did damage to several trees, leaving many of them twisted.

Survey teams from the National Weather Service say an EF-0 tornado with winds around 85 miles an hour uprooted several trees near Turners in eastern Greene County.

Those trees fell on several homes.

An EF-1 tornado hit in Rockaway Beach northwest of Taneyville with winds around 100 miles an hour.

Numerous trees were uprooted.

An EF-O tornado left damage near the Tanger Outlets in Branson.

It had wind speeds around 75 miles an hour.

It damaged a motel, and part of the roof from the Cato store was found in the Walmart parking lot.

One person was hurt.

More damage was discovered in McDonald County east of Jane along Golf Ridge Road. The National Weather Service says that was an EF-1 that was on the ground for one mile.  One home had half of the roof ripped off.

Experts say a weak tornado hit  Shell Knob, damaging boat docks and trees.
