The Reeds Spring School District will transition to a four-day school week, the latest in a series of similar moves by other districts throughout the state.
The change will take effect during the 2020-2021 school year.
The plan was approved by the Reeds Spring Board of Education on Wednesday.
District officials say the decision came after research and input from community members, staff, and students, including a public forum.
District leaders will now have to develop a new school calendar, which could be approved at the next meeting.
