Megyn Kelly’s daytime talk show on NBC might be nearing its end.
Unnamed sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Kelly told network execs she wanted to be more involved in its political and news coverage.
Those talks reportedly took place before Kelly’s controversial comments on a Oct. 23 segment of her “Megyn Kelly Today” program about blackface Halloween costumes. She apologized multiple times, but it didn’t stop the backlash — even from her NBC colleagues.
In light of her comments, a “Today” show source told People that it’s currently unclear if Kelly will be given a different position with the network when her daytime show stops airing in December.
Neither Kelly or NBC have commented on rumors about her show winding down. The network is airing rerunsof “Megyn Kelly Today” both Thursday and Friday.
