Victory Mission To Distribute Hundreds Of Thanksgiving Food Baskets

Volunteers from Victory Mission Ministry will be out Saturday morning knocking on doors around Springfield to deliver over 300 Thanksgiving food baskets to needy families.

Each Thanksgiving food basket costs just $40 and is filled with items to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal like a turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, dessert and more.

Springfield, MO, November 16, 2018 – Victory Mission volunteers will be knocking on doors around Springfield this Saturday, November 17, to deliver over 300 Thanksgiving food baskets to needy families.

A group of volunteers will pack the baskets on Friday, 9:00 a.m. at the Mission’s Donation Center on 700 W. Chase. Then on Saturday, about 100 volunteers will pick up the food baskets beginning at 9:00 a.m., and personally deliver them to recipients’ homes.  FedEx is among the corporate drivers who plan on coming out and delivering baskets to families as well.

Janelle Reed, Outreach and Special Events Manager at Victory Mission said, “Victory Mission is continuing our tradition of hand delivering Thanksgiving food baskets in our community. Feeding people is what we are passionate about and it’s honestly one of our favorite times of the year around here.”
