An Orthopedist from Springfield is facing a hearing after pleading guilty to involvement in an international fraud scheme.
Dr. John Putnam was found by investigators to play a role in a scheme that would defraud investors seeking to put over 10 million dollars into a double A video game.
Putnam worked closely with a man named Marty Brickey from Brazil, who has ties to the former Sheriff of Christian County convicted of embezzlement.
Both Brickey and Putnam have taken plea deals. Brickey now faces a maximum of five years and Putnam has received a recommendation for probation.
