Those who get food stamps will get a February benefit this month due to the partial government shutdown.
Community health workers in Springfield say recipients will need to budget their benefits to make sure it can last.
The shutdown makes it unclear if people will get food stamps in March.
If your verification case for stamps is pending, it must be submitted by 11:59 P.M. on Tuesday to SNAP@dss.mo.gov or a FSD Resource Center.
If you need more help, reach out to your local food bank or contact the family support division for help locating other resources.
