City Utilities says power should be restored to everyone who lost it during an outage Friday afternoon.
In a press release, CU says contractors hit one of the main transmission lines, knocking out power to more than 5,000 customers.
Mercy was briefly on generator power during the outage.
The outage also caused traffic lights to go dark, causing problems during the afternoon commute.

There have been quite a few power outages in Springfield this afternoon.
Springfield City Utilities says more than 5,000 customers are without power, including the Mercy campus.
CU says a contractor hit a transmission line.
No one was hurt.
Crews have been working to fix the damage and restore power.
Mercy was briefly on generator power, but crews were able to get power restored around 5 p.m.
