Just hours after the Missouri State Lady Bears returned from the NCAA Sweet 16 in Chicago, the University of Tennessee reached out to Missouri State.
Missouri State athletic director Kyle Moats tells KY3 Tennessee contacted him to inform him they have an interest in speaking with Coach Kellie Harper about their Women’s Head Coaching position.
Harper played under Pat Summit at Tennessee, winning three consecutive National Titles for the Lady Volunteers.
Harper has led three different Division I schools to the NCAA Tournament. Western Carolina, NC State and Missouri State.
In six seasons with Missouri State, Harper has a record of 118-79.
