LGBTQ Springfield: 

The City Council of Springfield may consider an ordinance intended to protect people from employment, housing or public accommodation discrimination based on their gender identity and/or sexual orientation.

The Springfield bakery, Amycakes, was accused of denying business to same sex couples on a social media post. Amy Bloodworth spoke out and shut down all rumors of the post. Bloodworth spoke to KY3, and stated “I was horrified and instantly made a post on our Facebook page just to let people know it wasn’t true, it really broke my heart. it made me really upset because it goes against everything I believe in.”

Katie Hill: 

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts came to the defense of Democratic California Rep. Katie Hill, who is resigning amid scrutiny on her alleged extramarital affairs with two different staffers.

Rep. Katie Hill claimed she’s stepping down because of a “misogynistic culture” and a “double standard.”

Elizabeth Warren: 

Elizabeth Warren’s long-awaited “Medicare-for-all” funding plan projects the government-run health care system would cost a staggering sum of “just under $52 trillion” over the next decade, with the campaign proposing a host of new tax increases to pay for it while still claiming the middle class would not face any additional burden.
