Missouri’s Primary Is Today: Here’s A Breakdown Of What You’ll See At The Polls

Today is the primaries for voters all across Missouri

Polls will open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

When going to the polls, voters will have to choose a party ballot (Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, Green, Constitution) or you may request an issues-only ballot.

The only statewide issue on the ballot is Amendment 2, which would expand Medicaid to cover more Missourians.

The primary elections today will decide who is on the ballot for the general election this November.

That includes races for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General.

Other races include Congress, State Senate, and State Representative.

Local level primaries include county offices, such as, county commission, sheriff, assessor, treasurer and committee members.

Money issues are also on ballots in Springfield and Laclede, Dallas counties.

Springfield Question 1, if passed, would authorize the city to impose a fee for a short-term loan establishment permit of $5,000 annually.

Laclede County voters will vote on a continuance of a 35-cent property tax levy for the Conway Special Road District #2.

In Dallas County, poll goers will vote on a 10-cent tax levy for full time staffing at the Southern Dallas County Fire Protection District.

After the polls close at 7 p.m., KTTS News will keep you informed of the results as they come in.
