BikeFest Draws Crowd Of 125,000 To Lake Of The Ozarks

Health officials say they will monitor the Lake of the Ozarks region closely for COVID-19 cases after the 14th annual Bikefest brought in 125,000 motorcyclists over the last week.

Camden and Miller Counties, which both cover portions of Lake of the Ozarks, currently have 1,251 confirmed coronavirus cases combined. Between the two counties, 11 COVID-19 deaths have been reported.

Lake Ozark Mayor Gerry Murawski says he will be watching to see how many cases develop.

Bikefest ran from Wednesday to Sunday, and it’s estimated more than 300 restaurants and bars participated in the festival. Over 50 bands also played over the five day period. Riders traveled from Ohio, Illinois, and even as far as North Carolina.
