A cold front sweeps through the Ozarks Tuesday, bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service says most storms will not be severe, but one or two may carry a damaging wind threat north and northeast of Springfield into central Missouri.
Cloud to ground lightning will also be possible.
The rain should push through the Springfield metro area between 11 a.m. and 3.m. Tuesday, and through the eastern Ozarks between 2 and 6.
Temps will go up into the 70’s Tuesday morning, but then fall to around 55 the rest of the day behind the cold front.
Winds could gust as high as 36 miles per hour.
