Mercy Springfield began its first full day of vaccine distribution today, following the vaccination of two bedside nurses yesterday.
The infectious disease doctors at the hospital were among the first to take the vaccine, expressing their confidence in its effectiveness. Mercy doctors have echoed a shared confidence in the vaccine’s safety.
The process has been quick, even as health care workers have avoided scheduling too many people at the same time.
Plans are in the works to get the vaccine to frontline workers in Aurora, Mountain View, and Cassville.
