School Closings:

We have another day of school closings. You can check out the list below.

Good News/Bad News:

We have bad news and good news. The bad news is we’re still off the air. The good news? We’re getting a new transmitter!

Impeachment:

Nick shares multiple pieces this morning in regards to the Trump impeachment.

Capitol Riot:
A man who authorities say is a leader of the far-right Oath Keepers militia group and helped to organize a ring of other extremists and led them in the attack last month at the U.S. Capitol has held a top-secret security clearance for decades and previously worked for the FBI.

Cori Bush:

More than 100 St. Louis inmates erupted into a prison riot Saturday, flooding the detention facility, smashing windows, and launching items out of the building from several stories high. Rep. Cori Bush decided to show her support of the riot on Twitter.

Circle Back Around:

White House press secretary Jen Psaki and Fox News reporter Peter Doocy went back and forth during Monday’s White House press briefing over President Biden’s promise to provide “green jobs” to workers formerly employed in the fossil fuels industry.

Speaking of pipelines…

Gazprom, a majority-state owned Russian energy company, resumed work in laying pipeline in Danish waters over the weekend after the project was halted during the Trump-era over the threat of sanctions.

COVID-19:

Guy Benson over at Townhall picked up on an interesting New York Times piece by David Leonhardt which basically seems to conclude conservative governments on a national and state level are generally doing much better at vaccine distribution than are more leftist ones.

Minimum Wage Increase:

A new study shows raising the minimum wage would cost 1.4 million jobs by 2025, but would reduce the number of Americans below the poverty line by 900,000.

White House Counsel of Economic Advisers member Jared Bernstein made an “interesting” comment to that study.

Bernstein said, “we have a tendency to focus on some of the big negatives.”

Cancel Culture:

A sign-language interpreter who was dumped by the Biden White House after being outed as a Trump supporter says she has been ‘canceled and humiliated’ for her political views.
