Man Charged In Murder of Wife, Her Parents

A man is in custody after three people were found dead inside his home late Saturday evening.

Jesse Huy, 50, has been charged with three counts of murder.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says they received a 911 call from Huy at 6:37 p.m. saying he had murdered his wife and her parents in his home. Investigators report that Huy said, “…well they wouldn’t leave, I’ve been waiting for a week for them to leave. I’ve had enough.”

The victims were Tonya Huy, 48, and her parents Ronald Koehler, 71, and Linda Koehler, 78. They were each shot twice in the head with a 9 mm handgun while sitting around a table.

Investigators report Huy said of the victims, “I felt intruded on, I felt disrespected you know. You know I pay the [censored] bill on that place so that gives me some say. Linda Koehler burrowed in like a tick and made it obvious she wasn’t going anywhere, and she knew I was not happy about it.”

Huy reportedly asked the parents to leave, but they refused, saying the house also belonged to their daughter. After the conversation, Huy grabbed his gun and shot them.

Investigators say Huy expressed a desire to take it back, and has asked to be isolated, saying “now that I’ve murdered three people, I’ve got nothing holding me back.”

Deputies arrived at the home on North Farm Road 249 in Strafford shortly afterward and Huy was taken into custody without incident.
