The National Weather Service says severe weather is not out of the question today as a cold front moves south, providing an opportunity for severe thunderstorms.
Cory Rothstein, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, says there is a potential for severe weather from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, along and south of I-44. Strong winds and hail up to the size of half dollars could form.
The rest of the weekend is looking calm, with more severe weather possible late Tuesday.
