New Appointments Made To 31st Judicial Circuit

(KTTS News) — There have been several appointments made to fill vacancies in the Greene County Judicial System.

The 31st Judicial Circuit has several announcements to make regarding recent selections to the court:

On March 10, Governor Mike Parson appointed Josephine (Jody) Larison Stockard as Associate Circuit Judge for the 31st Judicial Circuit.

She will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable T. Todd Myers as Circuit Judge.

She will be sworn in on April 14, 2023.

On Wednesday, March 22, 2023 a Special Session of the 31st Judicial Circuit Court en Banc was called by Presiding Judge Michael Cordonnier for the sole purpose of electing a Presiding Judge of the 31st Judicial Circuit Court pending the current Presiding Judges’ retirement.

The Court en Banc elected, by acclamation, the Honorable Jerry Harmison to serve the remainder of the current term, and then a two-year term beginning January 1, 2024.

Judge Harmison’s term will begin Friday, March 24, 2023 at noon.

The 31st Circuit Court en Banc met Monday March 27 for the  purpose of selecting a family court commissioner to fill the vacancy created with the death of Commissioner Regi Martin.

On March 27, 2023 the 31st Judicial Circuit Court en Banc selected Kyle Kanable as the new Court Commissioner in Family Court 1.

Newly elected Presiding Judge Jerry Harmison had this to say in announcing the selection “It is a compliment to our Bar Association that we had so many qualified applicants. Kyle Kanable was selected to be the new family court commissioner. We look forward to having him join our team of judicial officers.”
