(KTTS News) – An early morning crash has closed all westbound lanes of I-44.

The accident was reported around 5:20 AM.

The two-vehicle crash involving a semi is located at mile maker 82.6, heading west from Strafford.

Drivers are instructed to take northbound U.S. 65 to Valley Water Mill Road, just north of the I-44 and 65, back onto southbound U.S. 65.

MoDOT says the closure will last about two hours as crews work to clean up the wreckage.

As of 6:30 AM, traffic was backed up around .25 miles.

Police say several injuries were reported, but did not give further details.
