(Springfield’s News Talk 104.1) – A woman who drowned at Stockton Lake has been identified.
18-year-old Melodie Roberts of Michigan died when her kayak capsized near Crabtree Cove.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol believes that rough waters caused Roberts’ kayak to capsize.
Investigators are still looking for two others who also are missing.

One individual has passed away, and two others are currently missing at Stockton Lake.
The occurrence took place at approximately 12:30 PM on Wednesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a woman was discovered in the water at Crabtree Cove.
Searchers found both kayaks, but say that two men are still unaccounted for.
Investigators will use special equipment to scan the lake for the two missing men.
The investigators have not disclosed the identities of the three individuals involved in this incident.
