Benefit for Jerry Barke

September 26, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Jerry Barke is a life long resident of the Hurley area. He and his wife, Janie, have a daughter Cherrie, a son Chris, four grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

He has been an active member of the Hurley Fire Protection District for over 40 years and is currently employed with the Stone County Road and Bridge. Before that, Jerry could be found working at the Spring Creek Farm and Home Store in Hurley where he was a clerk and truck driver. He was formerly a member of the Spring Creek Saddle Club, and was also a bus driver for a Hurley School District.

Jerry has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and is currently receiving treatment. WE as a community would like to rally together and help Jerry and his family.

A benefit will be held Saturday, September 26th (rain date will be October 3rd) at the Hurley Saddle Club.

There will be a chili supper beginning at 4 p.m. There will be an auction at 7 p.m.

If anyone would like to donate items or baked goods for the auction, call Mark at: 417-830-1456. If you are unable to attend, but would like to donate, you can make your donation out to Mark Kisner, P.O. Box 271, Hurley, MO 65675. Please put Jerry Barke Benefit in the memo line.
