City Council Votes To Table Rezoning Bill

During the Springfield City Council meeting on Monday, members discussed rezoning a property on South Blackman Road.

The rezoning of about 2.9 acres would change the property from a suburban residence to an office district.

The people living near and on South Blackman Road have filed a protest petition against the rezoning ordinance.

Six votes are now required for council members to pass this bill.

The issue will be taken up at city council meeting again in March.
