Thieves Hit Habitat For Humanity Restore

A non-profit that builds homes for others is without some tools.

Thieves stole a truck and construction trailer full of tools from the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Springfield. It happened around 10:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24thh. 

The truck is a 1997 blue Chevy Silverado extended cab, with an enclosed white trailer,and with Habitat for Humanity of Springfield, MO logos on the sides.

“Low-income homeowners are counting on our construction team and volunteers to build and repair homes,” said Larry Peterson, Executive Director of HFHS. “The stolen truck and trailer not only is costing thousands of dollars to replace, it’s costing the homeowners we serve.”

Habitat is offering a $1,000 reward for their return.
