Abortions in Missouri:
The state of Missouri may see some changes to abortions, as the last abortion clinic may be closed by Friday. St. Louis’s Planned Parenthood noted they’re having difficulties regarding Missouri’s health department and getting a renewal for the clinic. If the license isn’t renewed by Friday, Missouri would be the very first state without an abortion clinic since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.
Gov. Mike Parson doubled down yesterday on the state’s threat not to renew the license of the only abortion clinic in the state and said it would be “reckless” for a judge to weigh in until the state takes action.
Some believe this is an attack on women’s health, but reports against the Planned Parenthood clinic show numerous health and safety violations.
