A passenger of a pickup is dead after a crash this morning involving a semi truck.
Joplin Police say the crash happened around 7 a.m. at the 2.8 mile marker. One child and the driver were taken the hospital.
The Semi truck driver was unhurt.
The name of the deceased passenger in the pickup was identified as Sharifa Taylor, age 42 of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The driver of the pickup was Cedric Holt, age 46 of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The driver of the semi tractor trailer was Patrick Hickey, age 50 of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
The crash still remains under investigation by the Joplin Police Department’s Major Crash Team.
