Rescue teams are resuming their search Monday after a late night effort to locate missing people in Christian County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is leading the effort and will concentrate on the stretch of the river from the Delaware Point access to the Shelvin Rock access.
Emergency Crews responded to the James River near West Inman around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after getting a call that a person was in the water searching for a missing partner.
The caller said they then lost sight of the person they saw.
Search crews went late into the night and five boats were sent to find the missing people. The search was paused until light this morning.
