Many people missed Camp Barnabas last year when the COVID-19 pandemic shut in-person camps down.
The organization says it is back this summer and has some new additions.
An official for the camp says there is a new lake, as well as a new game room and a sensory zone.
Camp Barnabas is also still looking for more volunteers and is still hiring full-time staff for half or the whole summer.

Camp Barnabas couldn’t be more excited to continue our mission by returning to camp this summer. We can’t wait to welcome members of the Barnabas family whether this is their first camp experience or they have made camp a highlight the last 27 years. With a week full of pool parties, themed dances, and activities, both campers and missionary volunteers will forever be impacted by their Camp Barnabas experience.
But we need your help to provide this life-changing experience. Missionary volunteers are still needed in order to provide the awesome experience our campers expect. ‘2020 was a challenging and long year after making the decision to not offer in person camp last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic,’ said Camp Barnabas CEO, John Tillack. ‘But we’ve made the most of this off time with multiple camp improvements. Thanks to our generous supporters, this summer campers, missionaries, and staff will get to enjoy the new fully accessible three acre lake, game room, sensory zones, and so much more.’
These camp improvements are the launching point for the Camp Barnabas capital campaign. ‘Beyond the facility improvements, summer 2021 will feel a little different. Keeping every individual who joins us safe and healthy is our top priority. From a staggered, drive thru arrival plan to alternating activity schedules, we are doing everything possible to make sure this is a safe space.’
