The Mountain Grove Fire Department says a black bear was spotted in the community last night.
In a Facebook post, citizens in the community shared photos and videos of the black bear throughout town.
According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, most Missouri bears live south of I-44.
Missouri is home to approximately 540-840 black bears and the population is growing approximately 9% annually.
