Temperatures will drop below freezing this week, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Freeze Watch.
It’s in effect from Wednesday night through Thursday morning for counties along and east of Highway 65.
That includes Springfield and the Springfield metro area.
A freeze and widespread frost will be likely Wednesday night.
An additional freeze and frost is likely Thursday night.
