Ukraine: 

President Biden approved an additional $800 million in military aid for Ukraine.

The new package includes 800 Stinger anti-aircraft systems; 2,000 Javelins, 1,000 light anti-armor weapons and 6,000 AT-4 anti-armor systems; 100 unmanned drones; 100 grenade launchers, 5,000 rifles, 1,000 pistols, 400 machine guns, and 400 shotguns; more than 20 million rounds of small arms ammunition and grenade launcher and mortar rounds; 25,000 sets of body armor; and 25,000 helmets.

A social media account for VP Harris stated in a now-deleted tweet that the United States is supporting Ukraine “in defense of the NATO alliance,” which the Ukraine is not a part of.

President Joe Biden called Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” on Wednesday. The president had initially said “no” when asked by Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich if he considers Putin a war criminal, but circled back about 30 seconds later and said, “Did you ask me whether I would call… Oh, I, I think he is a war criminal.”

Yakov Smirnoff:

Comedian Yakov Smirnoff joined Nick Reed this morning to talk about an upcoming comedy event.

Smirnoff, who immigrated from Odesa, Ukraine in the 1970’s, is wanting to raise donations to help support Ukrainians.

The comedy show will be held at Second Baptist Church in Springfield on March 19 at 2 p.m. The event will go to benefit Convoy of Hope who are currently on the grounds in Ukraine.

Second Baptist Church is located at 3111 E Battlefield Rd, Springfield, MO 65804.

The show is free to the public, but donations are strongly encouraged.
