Michigan:
The social distancing orders in Michigan are some of the harshest in the United States. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced traveling to another home within Michigan, even to visit friends or relatives, or to go to a vacation home, is banned. The order is also extended to May.
Many Michigan residents have accused Gov. Whitmer of abusing her power.

Sheriffs from four different Michigan counties said they will not strictly enforce Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s social-distancing restrictions.
Several residents have also announced that they will be suing Gov. Whitmer. They argue that the new restrictions violate the First and Fifth Amendments of the Constitution.
