Eric Harley’s career spans over two decades. He has entertained listeners all over America with his insight and humor. His association with trucking began decades before he was born. Eric’s grandfather, a World War II veteran, was killed in an accident while hauling a load in Texas. Since his childhood, Eric has had a special admiration for those who spend their lives on the road. His passion for radio and love for the trucking industry came together as he became part of a legendary radio program just as it was going nationwide. Eric is proud to be able to say he was there the first night The Midnight Trucking Radio Network hit the air!
Eric’s family ties with the trucking industry are still strong today. His father-in-law is a fleet owner, his brother-in-law owns a trucking company, and father drove trucks before and after, his military career. Eric shares the concerns of the drivers he talks to on a nightly basis. As host and producer of the Midnight Trucking Radio Network, he works hard to deliver the best entertainment, while addressing the issues of the trucking industry.
Eric is a dedicated runner who loves to “clear his mind” on the road every day. “I can see why truck drivers love what they do”, says Eric. “I get a small taste of that freedom every time I run”. Eric and his wife Barbara love to spend their spare time with their children Trevor, Sabrina, Elizabeth, Eric, Donna and son-in-law David. They all share a love for music, movies, and of course, each other.Eric’s volunteer work with Trucker Buddy International, the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes and the Muscular Dystrophy Association has helped teach him that all things are possible when you are surrounded with great people!
Gary McNamara has been doing talk radio since 1989. Gary’s first radio gig was in Marshall, TX. , and he has been talking ever since to people all over the country, from his hometown of Buffalo, NY, to Portland Oregon, with stops in Rockford and Chicago, IL, until he arrived on the scene at WBAP in Dallas-Ft. Worth 2000. Gary’s unique ability to talk to people from all over the country makes him the perfect person to co-host the nationwide Midnight Trucking Radio Network.
Gary is a graduate of the State University College at Buffalo, and his resume is as colorful as his personality! From janitor to bill collector to assembly line machinist, Gary is a regular guy…the “Average American” you might say. He’s even taken a stab at stand-up comedy before he got into radio.
Just like most of the truckers that Gary talks to every night, he believes that America doesn’t owe him a thing but he owes this country everything. He believes that freedom, capitalism and the willingness of Americans to sacrifice for both is what has made the United States the greatest country in the world.
During the day, you’ll either find Gary on the golf course or playing a game of pick-up basketball with his neighbors
