Christian County Making Polling Place Precautions In Response To COVID-19

Voters in Christian County will be taking precautions at polling places.

People going to vote will get hand sanitizer at the door.

Poll goers can wear a mask, but none will be provided by the county clerk.

Limited capacity inside the polling may create a longer wait to vote due to the social distancing.

Peak vote times are from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and to minimize wait time, voters are encouraged to vote at a different time.

Voting ends at 7 p.m. but if you are in line at 7 p.m. you will be able to vote on Election Day.

People unable to vote on Election Day or would like to vote early can vote at the County Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday May 30, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The clerk’s office says voters must call 582-4340, when they arrive at the historic courthouse so they can prepare the application and ballot to vote absentee.
