(KTTS News) — Police in Ozark have identified the man who was shot on the square in Ozark.

Joe Newburn, 57, was from Ozark.

Matthew Dedmon, 47, from Springfield is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

A man is dead and one person is in custody after a shooting on the square in Ozark.

It happened Saturday afternoon in the 100-block of West Church Street.

Police found a man in the middle of the road who’d been shot multiple times.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

One man was taken into custody.
