A girl from Arizona who disappeared at the age 13 and was long believed to have been abducted has been located alive, now living quietly in Springfield, Missouri.

Christina “Tina” Marie Plante, now 45, went missing in 1994.

Reports indicate she married as a teen, raised three children, and later earned a degree from Missouri State University.

Investigators say she currently works in a supervisory position at a Springfield company that handles insurance fraud cases. She lives with her husband of nearly 30 years in a five-bedroom home.

Authorities note that Plante has not shared many details about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Plante was last seen around midday on May 15, 1994, leaving her home in Star Valley, Arizona after saying she was going to a nearby horse stable. When she failed to return, her case was classified as missing and endangered under suspicious circumstances.

Her disappearance led to an extensive search and years of investigation, with early fears of abduction that were never confirmed. Over time, the case went cold.

Years later, a cold case unit reopened the investigation using modern methods such as social media and public records. Those efforts ultimately led to locating Plante and confirming she was alive.

Officials now consider the case closed. While many questions about her departure remain unanswered, authorities say she has since built a stable life and prefers to keep much of her past private.
