The Nixa High School volleyball team won the Class 4 State Championship in Cape Girardeau, Missouri this weekend beating Lafayette (Wildwood) in 2-0.
It’s their first state title in volleyball. They had placed fourth two times in 1997 and 1999.
Nixa volleyball advanced to the program’s first state title match by going 5-1 in pool play.
Nixa ended the season with a record of 34-4.
