Springfield Police are investigating a deadly shooting.
Police were called to 1637 East Chestnut Street near Delaware Avenue Thursday morning.
That’s north of Chestnut Expressway, west of Chestnut and Glenstone.
Reports say that the male victim was found on the ground in the middle of the street.
Police say he’d been shot.
He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
