CoxHealth is scheduling patients 12 and older for two clinics on May 15th and the 19th, open to anyone in the state.

Below is a press release by Mercy Springfield…

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (May 12, 2021) – The FDA has approved Emergency Use Authorization for those ages 12 and older to receive the Pfizer vaccine, and Mercy has appointments open for parents who are ready to schedule.

It’s as easy as going online to www.mercy.net/MOVaccine.

To accommodate busy family schedules, Mercy’s Springfield vaccine clinic, at 4520 S. National Ave., will offer evening hours beginning after Memorial Day. That location will also take walk-ins whenever it is open. For more information, please call 417-820-2540.

Patients younger than 18 must have a parent or guardian present at their appointment. You’ll schedule your second dose of the vaccine when you get your first.

Below is a press release from CoxHealth…

CoxHealth is now scheduling patients ages 12 to 15 for COVID-19 vaccinations, which comes in light of the FDA’s approval of the vaccine for individuals in this age group.

Two first-dose clinics will be held on Saturday, May 15 (second dose June 5) and Wednesday, May 19 (second dose June 9) in Springfield, which are open to anyone in the state of Missouri. Parents or guardians of patients in this age group may visit this link or call 417-269-1300 to schedule an appointment.

COVID vaccines are also available in a variety of clinics across the region, so if these days and location are not convenient, vaccinations may also be scheduled by calling 417-269-INFO. This is also an option for anyone ages 16 or older who lives or works in the state of Missouri.

While the Pfizer vaccine has been approved by the FDA under EUA for patients 12 to 15, CoxHealth is also waiting for sign-off from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which is expected very shortly. If this does not happen, the clinics will be postponed.
